Abstract
This research aimed at getting acquaintance with the relationship
between the self-esteem and the aggressive behavior of 3rd form pupils of
the basic stage schools in Khartoum State. The problem of the study is
manifested in the education between the self esteem and the aggressive
behavior and to know the reason behind it. '
The study population is represented in the male and female pupils of
the 3'“ form whose number is (910) from Erkwait schools. The sample was
tested by the random method and the size of the sample was (91) pupils, 32
of them are male pupils and 59 are female pupils. The tools of the study are
represented in the self-esteem measurement, and the aggressive behavior
measurement. The researcher adopted the descriptive method and hence,
the data were analysed through the use of the statistical package of Social
Sciences (SPSS) program and it arrived to the following findings:
-There is inverse correlation between self-esteem and the aggressive
behavior among the 3'd form of the basic stage pupils in Khartoum State.
-The aggressive behavior among the 3rd-form basic state pupils is
characterized by increase in Khartoum State.
-The self-esteem among the 3'd-form of the basic stage pupils is
characterized by moderation in Khartoum State.
