Item Mother‘s Knowledge And Attitude Regarding Growth And Development Monitoring in under Five Years in Khartoum State2017(Neelain University, 2018) Nora Mohammed Ali ElattaAbstract Background: The first five year of a child’s life is a golden period for development, fostering their future learning skills and social and emotional abilities due to rapid gains in physical and cognitive. the overall objective of this study was to assess mother‘s knowledge and attitude regarding children growth and development monitoring in under five years .in aldroshab district, Alrawda western district in aldroshab administrative unit in Bahary locality in Khartoum state during 2017-2018. Methodology: descriptive community base study design .The study population was mothers who had children under five years The study involved 140 mother‘s , Which were chosen by simple random sampling in Alrawda western district in aldroshab administrative unit in Bahary locality in Khartoum state. data collection was done by interviewer- questionnaire. The data was analyzed using statistical package of social sciences. and presented in form of table and figures. Results: The study revealed that there was no associationP-value0.108 between educational level and mother‘s knowledge regarding the concept of growth and development monitoring ,and no associationP-value0.05between educational level and mother‘s knowledge regarding the purposes of visit regarding the child growth and development monitoring. In the recent study the research found that there is signification association between number of Parity and How to know the normal (natural) Weight for your childP-value.047.and there are significant association p-value 0.01 between the mother‘s knowledge regarding the concept of growth and development monitoring and rank of child in the family respectively. Conclusion: near to half of mother‘s had poor knowledge regarding children growth and development monitoring in under five years and most of them had a good attitude regarding children growth and development monitoring in under five years. IX مستخلص خلفية :تعتبر الخمس سنوات الاولي من عمر الطفل (حياة الطفل ) الفترة الذهبية او تسمي بالفترة الذهبية والتي يكتسب فيها تعلم المهارات والقدرات العاطفية والاجتماعية نتيجة للزيادة السريعة في النمو البدني والمعرفي . منهجية البحث :دراسة وصفية والتي شملت علي 140 من الأمهات لديهن أطفال اعمارهم أقل من خمس سنوات واللاتي تم اختيارهن اختيار عشوائ بسيط في منطقة الدروشاب حي الروضة غرب والتي تقع في وحدة الدر وشاب الإدارية بمحلية بحري ولاية الخرطوم. وتم تقييم المعرفه والسلوك بستخدام إستبانه جمع البيانات بمقابله الإمهات مباشرة . وتمت الإجابه علي الإستبانه من جميع الأمهات .و تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام الحزمة الإحصائية وعرضت في شكل جداول وأرقام. النتيجة :كشفت الدراسة انه لاتوجد علاقةP-value 0.108 بين المستوي التعليمي للامهات وبين معرفة الامهات تجاه مفهوم متابعة نمو وتطور الاطفال.وايضا لاتوجد علاقة P-value0.05 بين المستوي التعليمي للامهات ومعرفة الامهات تجاه الغرض من الزيارة لمتابعة نمو وتطور الاطفال. في هذه الدراسة توصلت الباحثة الي وجود علاقة P-value.047 بين عدد الولادات وكيفية معرفه الوزن الطبيعي للطفل .وايضا وجود علاقةp-value 0.01 بين معرفة الامهات لمفهوم متابعة نمو وتطور الاطفال وبين ترتيب الطفل في الأسرة. الملخص : اقرب الي النصف من الامهات ذات معرفة ضعيفة تجاه متابعة نمو وتطور الاطفال اقل من خمس سنوات. ومعظم الامهات لديهن سلوك جيد تجاه متابعة نمو وتطور الاطفال اقل من خمس سنوات.
