    Abstract This study aims at recognizing the impact of privatization process upon the management and development of products in Jordanian companies which have undergone privitization process compared with others which have not undergone the same process . The study focuses on the impact of privitization process upon the following : Stages of product development process , Administratlve factors that influence product development policy , the degree at which the company is capable of better organizing products development , the standard performance function of product development among companies under study . The research problem stems out of the importance oftopic self as privatizing the Jordanian companies ensures the importance portage of Jordan ice , sectors So that it . is compatible with sectors as the inter national levels as a result ofthe membership oflordan in the world trade organization ( WTO) Hence , the main problem ofthe study should be designed according to the following question : Does the strategic decision ofimplementing and followings privatization lead to adoption of_a policy that develops products and changes the nature ofits management and serves the Jordaniancompanies in terms ofits influence on management ? .In order to conduct this study the researcher selected a random sample which amount to { 66,7 % } ofthe companies that adopted the privatization process and those which do not adopt this process . The number of the targeted companies in dies sample are ( 20 ) companies which include : ( 7 ) companies to totally privatized ; ( 7 ) companies partially privatized and ( 6 ) companies still under the ownership of the public sector . The researcher developed a format for data collection when the study involves all aspacts pertaining to product development . This process involves . An interview with the managers of companies under study in order to obtain the data included in the study format . The results of the study indicate significant difference within the means and resources ofthough development among the companies under study on the ather part partially and totally privitized companies compared with companies not subjected to privitization _ Totally and partially privatized companies mostly focus on practicing all jobs and works relating to planning of new products when compared with companies which are not privatized . Regarding the influence ofprivitization policy on marketing mixture , the study reflects that privatized companies are more interested in distribution and promotion policies than companies which are not privatized . products when compiled with companies which are wet privatized . AS regards the administrative factors that influence the products development policy , the study reflects that privatized companies enjoy higher degree on -the part of higher administrations where these administrations encourage and ensure the process of product development and also urges individual to be creative and create the relevant atmosphere . privitization»process has a positive influence on the organization of 'prodt"ict' development activities . I lihis process has resulted in the establislunent of specialized System to develop pro_ducts and encourage the work the units or market research and provision olidata base that includes adequate data about the activities of marketing , production and design . This study has concluded the following recommendation about the privatized companies and the companies which are not privitized : Firstly : Companies which are totally and partially privatized _Although privatization has reflected positive indicators For privatization process in_all aspects that relate to study , but there arc other aspects throgh which product development process in privatized companies can be improved according to: i l- Extending of the means of thought collection and its resources in the process ol‘ product development particularly those relating to the means ol‘ thought collection that depends on system that permit storage and and reviewing of data . Also increasing the dependency on sales agents and distribution channels olproduets as a source ol'thoughl development . These Mresourees represent the first indicator .'ol‘ the degree ot" the market and §;eonsumers' a‘eceptance;"ol’these new products . . '2- privatizedllcompanies should play the required role in terms of planning jfunction to ilievelop piyoducts , in addition there is a need to increase .,’awareness ofsome eleinents ot‘this process such as : ‘,, » :i* importance-'0fsituation analysis ofcompeting companies in the market . F" Batter follow up for changes that relate to the external market . ”‘ increasing;the importance ol competitors reaction when the company rovides a new produces to the market :p _' I - -Secondly :l{econunendation pertainingtto companies which are not privatized . ~‘ l- companies which are not privatized should increase thin awareness vis ~ a ~ vis data collection means and resources of product thought in order to establish data base that is considered as abase for future guidelines to develop the present products and provide new products . ' 2- the companies which are not privatized increase their importance regarding the Functions that relate to planning to develop products ' particularly those relate to the collection ofthought and Functions that relate to the study olthe selection ofnew products .
