Item اثر القرارات الاستراتيجية علي اداء المنظمات دراسة حاله مجموعة شركات جياد الصناعية(جامعة النيلين, 2008) عثمان السيد عمر عباسAbstract This research aims to provide an analytical framework for the strategic decision making process at Giad Industrial Group as well as to determining the most important factors that influence the managers ability to explain the objectives. Of strategic decisions. The _problem of the study presented in one major question: does the strategic decision taken directly affect the overall performance at Giad Industrial Group‘? This major question is spilitted down into the following sub questionszl - Is there a direct relationship-between the effectiveness of the strategic decision and the performance of Giad Industrial Group‘? - Is there a relationship between the leadership competencies and the effectiveness of the decisions? - Is‘ there a relationship between the approach of strategic decision making and its effectiveness? To answer these questions the following hypotheses were developed and tested: 1. There is a positive relationship between the effectiveness of the strategic decisions and the improvement of performance efficiency. 2. There is positive relationship between the leadership competencies and the effectiveness of the decisions. 3. There is positive relationship between the approach of the strategic decision making and the effectiveness of such decisions. The study finds that: 1. There exists clear sets of strategic decisions as a result of the application or strategic making at Giad Industrial Group such as the decisions of Giad establishment, expansion and restructuring. 2. The result that Giad Industrial Group has a clear mission and determine its strategic decision. 3. The results showed that the subordinates were satisfied and convinced with strategic decisions which enhance performance efficiency. Also this satisfaction with decisions helps in the formation of cohesive workgroups and the equal distribution of work among subordinates . Based on these results a number of recommendations are suggested: 1. more rationality and governance are needed in selecting strategic factors in different situations and this can be done through continuous training and developing managerial competencies for decision makers, specifically, in areas such as internal and extemal assessment of plans to explain the points of strengths and weaknesses and opportunities and threats. Since there is a variation in the deployment of strategic decisions according to the types of activity , size and the organizational structure of companies within the Group, more attention should be given to the processes of resources mobiliiation and budget as well as focusing on the supporting structure. Experts and professionals should be consulted to improve the process of formulation of strategic decisions and to provide training to enhance capabilities and competencies to assure the development of national leaders who are able to take effective strategic decisions.
