    Screening of Malaria Parasite in Blood Donors of Marrawi military Hospital

    Abstract This study was conducted in Marrawi military hospital to detect malaria parasite among blood donors . Malaria parasite is currently examined in donated blood . The examined sample included 100male donors . The techniques used were thick and thin blood film's , I.C.T test and buffy coat method . Malaria parasite was found in two same individual. And no significant difference was found between the techniques used . the parasite prevalence in the examined sample was 2% and the used techniques gave the same result Falciparum was the one malaria species detected. الخلاصة أجريت هذه الدراسة في مستشفى مروي العسكري بغرض فحص طفيل الملاريا لدى المتبرعين بالدم. كل المتبرعين كانوا ذكور حيث أخذت 100 عينة دم من المتبرعين . فحص العينات اوضح وجود 2 عينة موجبة لطفيل الملاريا وذلك باستعمال طريقة المسح ( سميك ورقي) وتمثل هذه النسبة نسبة اصابة تقدر بـ 2% من العينات المفحوصة . كانت النتيجة متشابهه في كل الطرق التي أستعملت . كان طفيل الملاريا من نوع p.falcipaium هو الوحيد الذي تم التعرف عليه في العينتين الموجهتين.
