    The Geometrical Techniques of Fluid Mechanics

    Abstract In this research we deal with the important equations of fluid mechanics. These equations are considered to be of prime importance because they model besides fluids, other phenomena such as cosmos. Being of global nature, they need a geometrical formulation that is free of coordinates. For this reason the geometric concepts such as tensor fields and differential forms on manifolds have been studied. Exterior calculus has been the methodology involved in the geometric formulation of the major equations of fluid mechanics, such as the Continuity equation, the momentum equation, Euler equation and others, the Lie group of diffeomorphisms and the associated concepts that classified flows have also been studied. الخلاصة في هذا البحث تناولنا المعادلات الرئيسية في ميكانيكا الموائع مثل معادلة الأستمرارية، معادلة اويلرو معادلة نافير- ستوكس و معادلات اخرى ولكن بصورة موسعة خاليه من الاحداثيات. حيث ان معادلات حركة الموائع تستخدم ايضا لوصف ظواهر طبيعية مثل حركة الكواكب في الفضاء و علية يجب ان تكون هذه المعادلات شمولية وخاليه من الحداثيات.لصياغة حركة الموائع بهذه الصورة تناولنا اولا مفاهيم هندسية مثل الحقول الموترة (الممتده)ّ،نظرية الاشكال التفاضلية على متعدد الطيات كما استخدمنا التشاكل التفاضلي لمشتقات لاي. وقد كانت نظرية المشتق الخارجي هي المنهجيه التي استخدمت في الصياغ الهندسية لمعادلات حركة الموائع.
