Item IMPLEMENTATION OF REMOTE MONITORING AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A DEFENSE TURRET(Al-Neelain University, 2019-02) RASHID ELDIRDIRI MOHAMED ABDELRAHMANProtecting the important organizations and country boundary’s using a defense turret is one of the main security things, This research discuss how to improve the efficiency of the defense turret by design a remote monitoring and control system. The proposed system was divided into two parts the weapon part and the control part. A simulation accomplished using Proteus software and a hardware prototype was implemented. In this system there are two mode of operation the first mode is scanning mode where the Weapon part scan for any intruders and the second mode is manual mode where the weapon user take the control of the weapon part using the radio control transmitter. The system starts in the scanning mode and continue scanning until there is an intruder within close distance from the system then it stop and lights red as a Warning to the weapon user. The weapon user can switch to the manual mode and take the control of the weapon by send a specific values using Radio Control transmitter and vice versa. The prototype have a capability to detect an object at distance up to 300 centimeters and cover an area of 30 degree at a time, the distance between the control part and the weapon part can be up to 20 meters. The system scanning process in each position of the weapon take 0.14 second. The system respond to the user command when controlling the servo-motors and the weapon within 0.03 second.
