Comparative study of Traditional Networks and software Defined Networks Performance
(Graduate College, 2017-11-01) MohamedKhedir Noraldain Alamin, Amin Babiker A/Nabi Mustafa
Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new technology for network infrastructure based on separate Data plane from control plane to traffic data that provide centralized network controller, simplify data flow traffic, better QOS management and improve network performance, instead of complexity and configuration difficulty of huge Traditional networks. The paper comparative between software Defined networks (SDN) and Traditional Networks by comparing traffic performance based on different parameters of network measurements. comparing them in terms of utilization bandwidth, delay, packet transmission rate and throughput and show an important difference between software Defined Network that has better results on traditional networks.
