    Preliminary Report on the Archaeological Research of the Blue Nile Region

    Abstract Thispaperaimsto study the archaeology of the Blue Nile region, particularly the areaendangered by the re-hightening of Roseris Dam. Many archaeological sites were investigated during the survey and excavation work which has been done by The National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums (NCAM). The sites could be dated the periodfiom the prehistoric to the Islamic civilization. The work covered different burials customs and variety of graves goods which indicates the richness of the area and the continuation of some burials tradition in it

    Some Archaeological evidences from Eastern Sudan (Sitite region)

    The National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums (NCAM) has been conducted an archaeological survey and excavation in the region endangered by the project of Sitite and Atbara Dam in eastern Sudan between 2010 and 2013. More than 44 archaeological sites were recorded, dated from the prehistoric period to the Othman colonization, between Milaga to Zahana in the end of the lake in 55km length. Some archaeological sites been chosen for excavation, as a settlement which dated to the Neolithic period. Also some cemeteries excavated which roughly dated to late periods, some graves composed different types and burial customs, compare with the Gash culture.
