(' Abstract The sole aim of this study is to find out the main factors influencing juvenile Delinquency and to determine the social and cultural specifications for delinquents. The study is based on four assumptions: - 1. The. displacement lead to the juvenile delinquency~ - I 2. The economic conditions . of the displaced people play an important role in forcing. and compelling young to delinquency. 3. There is a relation between disability to continue ones education and the delinquency phenomenon. 4. Most of the juveuile delinquents belong . to socially disorganized and brol{en families affected by death, divorce, etc. In order to assess the above assumptions I have depended on preliminary in formations gathered during the field research w.ithin the p'Cnal centers where delinquents are I{ept. To study their conditions I designed questionnaire followed by personal interviews with at random sample of juvenile delinquents. Informations collected from interviews have verified that poverty, illiteracy, social and economic variations have all contributed to the phenomenon of delinquency. At the end I suggested some, recommendations in order to affect the spread of delinquency. Among these recommendations.: - 1. Free education to all youth must be provided. 2. Special institutions to deal with Juveniles should be established e.g. courts accommo~ation for delinquents separated from adults criminals, etc. 3. Ji;radication of forces conducive to deviance and delinquency e.g. poverty, delinquenty environment
