    Abstract The research aims aims to recognize the relationship between intelligence and academic achievement among a sample of students in schools secondary Al-Mawhiba (gifted) and A!- Tamayyuz (excellence) in Khartoum state. Were numbered (99) students chosen randomly researcher the researcher has applied the descriptive correlative approach, and to test the research hypotheses he has used following statistical methods and procedures the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, the percentage, the t-test for a single sample, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The most important findings of research students both are highly intelligent high as the rated test matrices in a row on the Sudanese environment, To students Aatcef further high academic achievement in academic achievement test, there is no correlation function between intelligence test scores and academic achievement test. And there is no significant differences in academic achievement variable depending on the type. One of the most important recommendations reached by the research, to create a school atmosphere of the highest potential to adjust the factors affecting academic achievement beginning of training on modern management departments appropriate for gifted students, and continue to train teachers in theory and practice in their courses of study and ways to deal with them
