    Abstract Civil society organizations in Sudan play an important role in supporting people living with HIV infection by different interventions, particularly social care activity that aims to help them to solve the problems that they face. The Sudanese People Living with HIV Association is a civil society organization that serves people living with HIV infection in the country however, in spite of the efforts that it exerts the social care activities still do not reach all people living with HIV infection in the country. The study aimed to investigate the social care activities that provided by Sudanese Association of People Living with HIV infection among its registered members at the federal and state levels. The researcher in the study followed a descriptive and analytical approach and he used a questionnaire, interview and observation as tools to collect study data. The important findings of the study are: most of people living with HIV infection who benefited from the services that offered by Sudanese People Living with HIV infection Association were educated and aged between 30 years and 39 years. Also, there was a statistically significant difference in types of the services being provided by the Sudanese People Living with HIV Association from zone to zone. The study showed that the Sudanese people living with HIV Association has contributed in raising awareness of families and communities about HIV and positive living, and in providing psycho-social and legal support, also in providing income generating activities to its members. Although the Sudanese people living with HIV infection association did not provide adequate specialized cadres in health field, it was found that there was a satisfaction about the activities that it provides. The researcher recommends the following: present of specialized, trained and qualified cadres in the Association is important to increase its effectiveness in providing prevention, treatment and support services for people living with HIV infection in the country. Also, recommends developing standard operational procedures to implement and to follow up the Association activities and projects, besides strengthening partnerships with other civil society organizations.
