    Abstract This thesis is aiming to explore the impact of inspection and supervision of convicts while in prison in preventing tendency towards evil. The role of Public Attorney and Investigation Department is examined as a case studies. The thesis falls, in addition to the introduction, in five chapters. Chapter one is set to give on idea about the research, its importance, concepts used, previous studies etc... In Chapter Two, research methodologies is'shown. As an interdisciplinary work sociological concepts and theories of crime and tackled against interactive principles concerned with treatment of convicts. Chapter Three is maintains descriptive. An idea about the Department of . Public Attomey in Saudi Arabia, its history, role, jurisdiction is given. In Chapter Four, the fmdings of field work eamed among at random samples of detained are among officers in charge of the department of examined. And finally, in Chapter Five, these resultsiare analyzed in order to give an idea about how successful is the department is fulfilling its mandate.
